Class Description

 

During this Summer Camp program we will be exploring various Nature and art projects ! From Recyclable Art- Painting planters Using Cans (while learning how to germinate seeds and pot plants, flowers, and herbs!), Mandala Making on rocks, Fairy Door Making, Print and stamp making with Leaves, flowers, and Pinecones, and Landscape Watercolor Painting! With each class, there will be nature and mindfulness lessons alongside the art making ! Hope to see you there!

 

For Ages 5-10 !

 

Class Requirements

 

None

 

Class Supplies

 

When Applying for Course you will receive a schedule of the days in which you will needing the materials!

 

For Recyclable Art- Painting planters Using Cans Class:

 

-Craft or Fine Art Paint of any kind except Watercolor
-Paint brushes- preferably medium size brushes but brushes of all sizes works
-Cup for water
-Palette of any kind (even just a paper plate or cardboard works just fine)
-Paper towels or Rag Near by
-Food Can with label taken off OR soda can with Top safely cut off by Parent or Guardian

 

For Mandala Making on Rocks:

 

-Rocks (preferably smooth river stone rocks)
-Craft or Fine Art Paint of any kind except Watercolor
-Brushes (preferably medium to small size round brushes)
-Palette of any kind (even just a paper plate or cardboard works just fine)
-Cup for Water
-Paper towels or Rag Near by

 

Fairy Door Making:
-Acorns tops
-Twigs and sticks and/or Popsicle sticks
-Any Tricket (such as buttons) or Nature Object you can think of that can be a good add on in making a Fairy Door!
-Twine
-Non toxic Glue

 

Optional for Fairy Door:

 

-Paint of any kind and materials needed for paint (brushes, palette, cup for water)

 

Print and Stamp Making with Leaves, Flowers, and Pine Cones:

 

-Leaves, flowers and pine cones collected from outdoors
-Craft or Fine Art Paint of any kind
-Sturdy white craft paper OR watercolor paper (if you can’t get these any white paper can work but it might tear easily) you can even use old newspaper!
-Cup for water
-Palette of any kind (even just a paper plate or cardboard works just fine)
-Paper towels or Rag Near by

 

Watercolor Landscape Painting :

 

-Watercolor paint but any craft or water based paint can work and can always be watered down
-Brushes of any size
-Sturdy white craft paper OR watercolor paper (if you can’t get these any white paper can work but it might tear easily)
-Cup for water
-Palette of any kind (even just a paper plate or cardboard works just fine)
-Paper towels or Rag Near by

 

**Synthetic (non animal based) brushes – round and flat brushes for everything (unless using already bought brushes that aren’t synthetic)**

 

Optional:
-Gloss Medium
