In this class you will learn how to design all kinds of 3D Models from scratch in Sketchup. We are going to model a house step-by-step. We will also add streets, a park and a carport. And we will improve the neighborhood with cars, trees, or whatever you want. Finally, we will render the scene to achieve a more realistic appearance. Impress your friends and family!
It's a 15-hour live course - don't worry, not in one piece ;-) - that means we will work together on our project in real time. If there are any difficulties, I can help you right away. The class size is max. 5 students. This keeps the atmosphere relaxed and there is more room for questions and troubleshooting. And of course you can get to know each other better.
Age group 13 - 16
We will start with an introduction of the user interface. We will take a look at some important settings and get used to navigation in 3D space.
In this part, we go through all relevant tools and functions, step-by-step.
In this section, we model the environment. At this point we also learn how to import 3D objects into Sketchup.
Modeling the house
The next step is modeling the house. The house is divided into 1st floor, upper floor, and the roof.
Modeling the carport
We will model the carport beam by beam.
Your personal touch
Now it is time to get creative. Shape the neighborhood the way you like it. If you want, you can also have a rocket launch base in your frontyard ;-)
Rendering the scene
A 3D model doesn't look that bad in sketchup, but it gets even better! With Twilight render, we easily create great images that look much more realistic.
That's it :-)
