Mandy’s unique style of teaching combines her yoga and pranayama practices with other practices such as Qigong in sequences she feels will effectively allow her students to reach an energetic state free of blockages. She aims to offer inspiration and healing to others through her teaching.
Mandy has been fascinated with Eastern culture for as long as she can remember! Its emphasis on the connectedness and unity of everything both comforts and inspires her. When a teacher recommended some Taoist books to her, her interest was sparked even more into Eastern healing arts where she was introduced to qigong, acupuncture, meditation and herbalism. She found a truth that resonated deeply with her about how all the bodies are intimately intertwined—the physical, mental, emotional & spiritual—and that by healing and better purifying any of one these—we access the key to assisting the other bodies and the entire being overall.
She had a strong desire to share this new found power of yoga with others. She went to Rishikesh, India, where yoga teaching originated, and completed her 200-hour teacher certification where she was taught Ashtanga, Hatha, Yoga Philosophy, Kriya, Mantras, Pranayama, and Anatomy.
