Najat - Yogi Sadkaha
Hi! My name is Najat and I am a Philadelphia based yoga instructor. I have been a yoga practitioner for 8 years and went on to receive my education through the 5 month "Inner Journey Program" at Motherheart Studio, where I graduated in August of 2019. Yoga has been such a medicine to my life and I feel honored that I get to be in the position to share this sacred wisdom with others. My aim is to create space for you to discover something new and interesting about your connection with mind, body and spiritl. Yoga, which originated in India, has prehistoric roots set in meditation and philosophy so I do my best to incorporate this in our class matter as I believe yoga is an integrative and experiential practice.
My yoga quest began in 2012 when a friend introduced me to a documentary called “Yoga Is A Transformational Journey”. I started practicing at home from watching Youtube videos and eventually found myself working the front desk at the Yoga Garden. Here, I was able to broaden my experience while learning from great teachers such as Damodor of Palo Santo Wellness, David Hem of Healing fields and Cohbe Berkeley of Vibes & Vinyasa. September 2019, I completed my 200 YTT certification through the 5 month “Inner Journey Program” at Motherheart Sangha, with Dawn’s expertise guiding my education. As a new instructor, I’d like to cultivate an environment that’s approachable, integrative and restorative for students. My wish is to bring yoga to those who are seeking groundedness, balance and deep connection within themselves.
My classes are centered around Bhakti and Classical Inspired flow highlighting the themes of recovery, chanting, anatomy, yoga philosophy, visualization, sound therapy, meditation and breathing techniques.
